How to find the diameter and circumference of your ring

How to measure ring diameter and circumference

For Ring Diameter

Step 1

Find a ring that fits.

Step 2

Lay ring on top of the ruler, and measure the widest area inside the ring from inner edge to inner edge. Round to the closest whole millimetre or if you use inches use fractions of an inch.

Step 3

Put your measurements in a book or notes on your phone so you don't forget your measurements when buy.

Tip: If you have a non-circular ring then measure the shortest distance inside the ring.

Ring Circumference

Step 1

Cut a long strip of paper or string that is 5.0mm wide or 13/64 of an inch

Step 2

Wrap the strip of paper or string around the base of desired finger. For the most accurate result, pull the paper/string as tight as possible. Now don't worry your ring won't be that tight it's not meant to anyway!

Step 3

Make sure the paper/string is evenly overlapped and pulled tight, and mark where the strip of paper meets itself. (preferably do this where it's easier to mark it so you don't get inaccurate measurements)

Step 4

Measure the length of the strip of paper/string in millimetres or to fractions of an inch. Round to the closest whole millimetre/fraction of an inch.

Conclusion

If this helps then you should consider buying our jewellery. Wouldn't hurt to add to that jewellery collection now wouldn't it?
